New Yu Academy admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to the students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, financial aid programs, athletic or other school-administered programs.

The admission process has not been finalized. However, the following information serves as an overview.

 

• Parent/guardian and student visit the school.

• Parent/guardian and student read the handbook thoroughly.

• Interview with the principal.

• Application is submitted accompanied by registration and application fees.

• Student is scheduled to take the entry exam.

• Parent/guardian and student attend parent and new student orientation.

• Parents sign all permission forms including media release and parent/school covenant.

• Immunization forms must be received before a student may enroll in school.

• All students must have the following immunizations: diphtheria, polio, measles, and rubella.

2. Social Security Number
    Please bring your child’s Social Security card. If your child does not have a number, please contact the Social Security Office at 1-800-772-1213. Under federal law, however, the New Yu Academy will enroll your child even if he or she does not have a Social Security number.

3. Proof of Residency
    Please bring a copy of a current mortgage statement or lease and a current unpaid utility bill with your name and address on it to provide proof that you reside in the boundaries of the school district.

 

Immunization Record

New Yu Academy follows the mandates of the Illinois Department of Public Health with regards to required immunizations for our students.

Students entering ninth grade, and new students to the academy must present proof of the required state of Illinois physical examination and immunizations. For more information click below.
