Jeffrey (Jef) A. Williams is an inspiring, award-winning speaker, author, and facilitator who is committed to helping leaders and managers build high performing teams that produce better results for their organization. He firmly believes that when leaders and those who follow them bring their “A Game” to the table, nothing can stop them from succeeding as a team. Today, Jef the “Transformer,” inspires audiences to renew their minds through his pragmatic approach to dynamic teamwork through exemplary leadership and followership. His fun and interactive seminars impact traditional mindsets and stimulate positive behavioral changes to achieve greater results for the organization.
Jef grew up in Baltimore, MD as a shy and very insecure young man. It wasn’t until years after being in the military that he recognized his God-gifted talent as a speaker and motivator. As a keynote and motivational speaker, he travels throughout the country inspiring his audiences to go beyond self-imposed barriers, recognize their unique gifts and talents, and then encourage them to live their lives with purpose. A few of his presentations include: “Leadership-Followership 360”, “Many Members Yet One Team,” “Why Am I Here?” “One Day!,” and “Presenting with Purpose and Power.” He competed in the Toastmasters International 2010 World Championship of Public Speaking and ranked among the top 18 out of 30,000 contestants.
Jef is also passionate about equipping young people to succeed in today’s society. He serves as a mentor and co-chair of the National Black MBA Association Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) program in St. Louis, MO where he teaches practical life skills to help teenagers excel personally and professionally. To keep fit for this demanding schedule, Jef is a popular certified spinning instructor that enjoys providing high octane workouts that are enjoyable and safe for all who attend.
How Jef’s Qualifications and Career Experience Serve You:
Jef is the Founder/CEO of JCW Consultants, LLC, a firm specializing in human performance and productivity. He developed a solid leadership foundation through 26 years of service in the United States Air Force where he earned the rank of Chief Master Sergeant (E9), a rank reserved for the top 1% of the enlisted force. He served as an advisor and consultant to senior leaders on myriad personnel, leadership, and management issues.
Throughout his military career he received several awards in recognition of his outstanding and innovative work and for maximizing human potential. As a senior advisor to the Major Command General Counsel, he developed policies and procedures for implementation, directed overall training, assignment, and professional development of paralegal and civilian legal support personnel throughout a 12-state geographical region.
Jef also served as an adjunct instructor for various professional military education courses. He authored, the “Role of the Law Office Manager” and provided instruction in management and leadership of law offices throughout the Air Force. Jef also lectured and facilitated group discussions on myriad issues facing management to include: conflict, time management, group dynamics, ethics, budget, performance reporting, writing awards for personnel, resource management and human resource management.
Jef is currently pursuing a PhD in Organization and Management with a specialization in Leadership from Capella University. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Religion (Cum Laude) from Liberty Theological Seminary, a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from National Louis University, and a Master Certificate in Project Management from Villanova University and a former adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix.
