


Kristi Tumminia
(Owner/Director)
Kristi Tumminia has been dancing and performing since age 3. Born in Brooklyn, NY Kristi attended studied all styles of dance at Horizons in Dance. When Kristi moved up to Westchester, NY she continued to study dance, theatre and Opera while continuing to pursue her music and performing career. Kristi feels honored to have had the opportunity to perform at NFL Superbowl XLI in Miami, BET’s 106 & Park, Blaze the Stage, Maxim Records Concert, and NY Knicks Halftime at Madison Square Garden. Kristi began teaching dance at age 16 and never looked back. Throughout her dance years, Kristi really found her love of Hip Hop, and started to take class at the prestigious Broadway Dance Center in NYC from choreographers such as Luam, Rhapsody James, Jermaine Browne, Jamie Jackson and more, she became inspired. After having the opportunity to teach at some great studios and grow as a dancer and teacher, Kristi is now thrilled to be able to make her dreams become reality as Owner/Director of Spotlight Studios of Dance & Performing Arts. Choreographing and bringing her visions to life through her dancers and students is Kristi’s true passion. She truly has a special bond with all of her students and takes pride in helping them grow as dancers and individuals, encouraging them to work hard and follow their dreams.
Destiny Frye was born in Oceanside, California, and was raised primarily in San Diego's East County. She inherited her vivid passion for the arts from her mother, Cheryl Frye, founder of The Origin Hip Hop Cultural Center of San Diego. Destiny has been a stage performer for most of her life. At the age of 13 Destiny began choreographing competition dance routines alongside her older brother, Dario B. Freeze. In high school, Destiny was a triple threat in the arts, lettering in Dance and Choir, as well as choreographing many routines and theatrical showcases for various students and organizations. Now a graduate from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC, Destiny has been able to pursue her dreams and continue to work and grow as a performer and choreographer. Destiny is the Director and Choreographer for Spotlight Studios’ new POM POM Squad; a fusion between cheer and dance that will emulate iconic dance groups such as Knicks City Dancers and Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Her sassy and fun approach paired with cute, sharp choreography makes for a fierce combination that we are so excited to see come to life!

Danielle Bower
(Contemporary)
Danielle began her training in West Chester, PA with the Chester County Ballet Company and with The Rock School West. She attended The University of the Arts and after graduating, resided in Bermuda dancing and choreographing for the Bermuda Music Festival, United Dance Productions, and Tappers Off The Hoof. She has also been on faculty at Koresh Dance School, has head coached the Rustin High School Dance Team, has been on staff at Broadway Dance Center, and continues to choreograph and teach for multiple companies and dance studios. As a dancer, she has worked professionally for Montazh Performing Arts Company and ContempraDance Theatre, along with additional projects for various choreographers in NYC. Currently she is a member of SynthesisDANCE, under the artistic direction of Tracie Stanfield. She also is a faculty member and Company choreographer for The Rock School West and is a guest teacher at STEPS on Broadway in NYC.


Majorie Liebert
(Ballet)
Marjorie Liebert began her professional training and performing career at age thirteen with the Boston Ballet Company, Boston, MA, under the direction of E. Virginia Williams. At twenty one, Ms. Liebert went to Europe where her career expanded when she met Maitre Boris Kniaseff and his brilliant Barre-a-Terre method. She became a principal in his performing group as well as his assistant and was chosen by Maitre Kniaseff to perpetuate his method. Ms Liebert works as teacher/coach and guest teacher for companies and schools in Europe, South America, and North America, notably: American Ballet Theatre Studio Company, NYC, NY; the Dutch National Ballet, Amsterdam, the Netherlands; La Compagnie du Grand Theatre, Geneva, Switzerland; Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Montreal, Canada; Ballet Stagium, Sao Paolo, Brazil; Studio du Marais, Paris, France (Kniaseff’s former studio); Studio Paris Centre, Paris, France; Artemis, Amsterdam, the Netherlands; several of the NYC, NY dance studios, principally, her own. Ms. Liebert is committed to the optimal health of her dancers’ bodies as well as their developing the ultimate of their artistic expressions.


Lexie Childers
(Jazz)
Born and raised in Columbus, OH, Lexie Childers began dancing, teaching, and choreographing at age 14. After graduating high school early to pursue dance, Lexie moved to New York City to study at American Musical and Dramatic Academy. After graduation, she made her professional debut in the Off-Broadway Show "Teen Angel" where, in addition to performing, she choreographed the opening number. Lexie has also appeared on Hit television shows, commercials, and print ad's including Smash (NBC), NYC 22, Powerade, and Xenadrine. Lexie's recent performances include: The Brooklyn Dance Festival with the Brooklyn Dance Festival Company, The Young Choreographers Festival as an apprentice with SynthesisDANCE under the Artistic Direction of Tracie Stanfield and The Jazz Choreography Enterprises with the JKing Dance Company under the Artistic Direction of Joyce King. Lexie is thrilled to continue her career as a company member with The JKing Dance Company.
